Aquarelles: For Solo Guitar by Sytchev
Review by Beverly S. on 2 Feb 2022 review stating Aquarelles: For Solo Guitar by Sytchev Aquarelles has three pieces. I bought the book to try two of the pieces since I've played After the Rain from the Royal Conservatory Level 6 book.
Note: There is no fingering, left or right hand, in these pieces.
1. In the Garden, marked Tranquillo, is a two-page mix of note values in A major [3 sharps] with a 3/4 time signature.
2. Spirit of the Dance is two pages in C Major to be played Comodo (quietly). It is somewhat repetitive in a mix of note values with a 2/4 time signature. In some measures, I used a low G vice the low F for ease of playing with my small hands.
3. After the Rain is a two page Andante in C major. I like the melody of this piece the best of the three. Some measures are to be played at higher frets and these are not easily recognized. I have this piece from The Royal Conservatory and it has the fret markings. For example, measure 22 and 27 are played at the 3rd fret; measures 43 to the end at the 8th Fret.
