OLD Philippe Bosset Acoustique 80/20 Brass Acoustic Guitar Strings 12-53

Going with these 12/53s instead of D'Addario 11/52 was a bit of a risk, and at double the price, but was it ever a good decision. These are wonderful on my Eastman AR810CE. They have a great feel and a full, sweet tone. (I too took Rob McKillop's recommendation and I'm glad I did.) Bosset is kind of an obscure brand but don't let that deter you. These are great strings, at an intermediate price point and well worth the money and then some.

A note on buying these in the US: Strings by Mail got these to me quickly and efficiently with no nonsense and a no-ripoff, sensible shipping cost. And by the way if you buy these in Paris (where they're made) they cost twice as much!

Love these! They were recommended to me by Rob Mackillop, a guitarist blogger I follow and I was not disappointed. I play fingerstyle on a small bodied Collins. These strings respond well to my style of playing. I will order them again! Strings By Mail did an excellent job getting them to me in a very timely manner. I loved the vintage sticker that I received with my purchase. A very happy customer on all points!
