La Bella 900 Golden Superior MHT Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

I have played a classical guitar for decades. I finally decided to give these strings a try. I was very impressed. It is so unusual using new strings that make virtually no noise with left hand movements. In some way, the bass strings of the 900 series feel like the lower 2 strings on a violin - and they hold up good with a lot of playing on them. These may not be the only strings that I ever want to use, but I would recommend giving them a try at least once, just for the experience. The medium/high tension gauge of the strings are hardly more noticeable than many medium tension strings of other great brands. Last of all, I love to to do business with Strings By Mail. They always make shopping online a breeze.

If you have a project with your good classical guitar, these strings will do the job. The strings are extremely quiet, and the smooth bass makes it perfect for sliding without "squeaks". The nylon trebles are also very smooth and comfortable under your fingers. Excellent if you are going to the studio!

The strings played as advertised. The bass strings were squeak free. I had an issue with the bass strings getting caught up in the nut creating a clicking sound when tuning. I'm sure an adjustment to the nut would have fixed the issue so a rating of 5 for the strings. They just aren't right for my guitar. SBM service is top notch; never an issue.

So far these strings are my favorites of all I have tried. Nice mellow tone.

I have only had the strings on for a couple of weeks, but they sound great and show no signs of wear. I practice several hours a day and need good strings.
