8 course tenor lute string
Review by Gary b. on 23 Dec 2016 review stating 8 course tenor lute string The tension is on the low side which is fine it just means you can't drive it as hard as you may want. The fourth course (usually tuned to f) is a wound string in this set and does not sound particularly good and most players I have talked to substitute the fourth course with a carbon or gut string to get the sound they want. Over all it is a good set of strings for the price. I actually prefer Pyramid stings but the hassle of piecing them together is enough of a barrier that my preference seems to be out weighed by the ease of ordering the full set from la bella.
Thanks,
Gary
