A happy accident

I ordered these by mistake. Could have sworn I ordered the azabache. No worries, the SN set may not have been what I thought I want, but they are definitely what I need: the trebles are fat. Thick in dimension and “phat” in sound. The basses are elegantly articulate, while neither bright nor boomy, and very easy on the fingers.

These are first impressions after just a few hours. I am intrigued and curious to observe their entire life cycle. These are worn by a lightly built, Torres-braced classical, not a flamenco. To my hands this is a low tension set. Previously I thought Knobloch was overrated. This set may completely reverse that sentiment; we shall see. A happy accident indeed, even if they stay the same and don’t further settle. Knobloch says 72 hours are needed for full flowering.
