John Pearse 510L Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze and Silk Lt 11-49

Silk and steel strings are not as popular today as they once were, but you can't beat them for a nice touch and soft tone. These went on a guitar I use for slack key and I love how they sound and play. They lasted a bit over three months, and probably would have gone longer but my hands tend to leave a lot of grime on the strings so I changed them before they started to degrade. I play a fair amount, so I was pleased with their ability to hold up under use.

I tried these strings on one of my guitars for my granddaughter. She says it's easier to play, tho' I don't care for the sound & sustain.

These sound just a touch softer than their regular Phosphor Bronze, but are much softer to the touch. Perfect string for my Martin OM28, and I have tried many!

I bought a set of the 510L bronze and silk 11's for my short scale (19") Tacoma Papoose tuned up to A. They definitely improved the intonation and playability over the PB 12's i had been using.

I am a new player (well, after a couple of years, I still play like a new player). Finger soreness is still an issue. These are excellent sounding strings no my Furch and, so far, nicer to my fingertips.
