The only game in town

D’Addario is the manufacturer of that special string. No other string slinger makes a string like it. Just the one company. That’s the downside. The upside is that the bass sounds much larger than one would expect and it’s even better when plugged in. I’m quite pleased with the tone and the feel. I only bought this set to have as a backup in the event that I need to deal with a broken string right before a gig as I imagine that not all music shops carry these. I’m still playing the set that came on the bass and they don’t seem worn or on their last leg.
