Carulli | 24 Preludi, Op. 114 for solo guitar

I've found most Ricordi publications generally good. This collection of arpeggio preludes from Opus 114 otherwise know as Grand Recueil is easy to read. However, compared to the only original source I can find on imslp. org, date unknown, but more than likely published around the time of Carulli, much liberty has been taken on left and right hand fingerings. Obviously, fingerings are subjective and the modern guitar and fretboard is larger than the guitar in Carulli's time. Be prepared to do own fingering edits or do what I did and reference an earlier published source. To be fair, the editor, Giuliano Balestra, in his preface states "I have adhered as closely as possible to the original text, altering only the fingering of both right and left hand where modern ideas of technique seem to call for it. " I'm still only 1/2 way through the collection, but number 11 has two extra measures compared to the early source. I recommend checking other published editions before deciding on this one.
